Future Reviews

Before I start throwing my opinions out there, I figure it might be best to get a couple things straight. I am not a professional beer taster. I have never been formally trained in tasting. I do not have an incredibly deep palate that can find dried plums, toasted raisins, currant, and wildflower honey all in one beer.

I am just your average beer enthusiast who enjoys finding the flavors that are obviously there. I will be rating all beers on Appearance, Smell, Taste, Mouthfeel, and Drinkability. Each category will have a maximum of 5 points, allowing each beer to score a maximum total of 25 points. Each beer review will also have some info on the history of the beer and the brewery behind it.

And please feel free to leave comments about my ratings. The only thing I enjoy more than drinking beer, is discussing beer.

The Cleveland Scene

One of the best things about living in the Cleveland area is the excellent microbreweries in the area. I am lucky to have Great Lakes, Thirsty Dog, Buckeye, Indigo Imp, Crooked River, The Brew Kettle, Rocky River, and Cornerstone all within reach. On top of that, the local grocery stores are very active in bringing these excellent brewers to the local shoppers. Throughout this year, I plan on visiting a number of these breweries and sharing these stories with you.

Blogging into 2011

My name is Steve. I am a fan of both local and national microbrews. I started this blog to share my experiences in the wonderful world of craft beers with others that share my passion. So please stay tuned as I will be bringing my experiences to you frequently
